Buzz
I won’t promise to keep this page updated every time I have buzz to share, but here are a few of the events I celebrated.

April 2012 – The Go-Giver Retreat – Certified Coach Training and Amazing Line Up of Speakers
You may not recognize the lady and gentleman with me in the photo, but chances are they’ve made you smile, at least once.
February 2012 – JUST BLOW IT UP to be Published by Sound Wisdom
That’s a working title, of course, and subject to change. But the book on how to Blast Thru your “Brick Walls” and eliminate your life-limiting barriers will be available from Sound Wisdom Fall of 2012!
This will be an expansion of the ebook that many of you snagged when it was available to my subscriber list, Anatomy of a Brick Wall. In it, I shared the four types of brick walls we build and the method I use for getting my clients (and myself) on the other side of them. This book will have more examples, and even detail on practical and powerful methods to target and demolish the brick walls standing in your way.
May 2011 – Keynote at Extreme Business Makeover Event
Some people do Spring Cleaning – I do an Extreme Business Makeover!
This was my third year participating in the Extreme Business Makeovers event in Orlando, Florida. The speakers and the audience at this event have become my business family.
This year I had the honor of being a featured speaker, presenting “Blasting Thru Your Barriers to Stratospheric Success” on Friday. It was extra special (and extra explosive) because I took the stage right on the heels of my great friend, client and hero, Scott Ginsberg!
I was also invited to moderate two panel discussions. “Overcoming Challenges” with good friends and inspirations Josh Hinds, Patricia Rossi and Extreme Business Makeovers host Thom Scott. We shared discussion and insight into finding the gifts in life’s challenges. Then “How to be a Game Changer” with marketing and social media experts Brian Tomkins, Nathan Latka and Tracy Meyers.
This entire event was a “game changer” for every speaker and every attendee.

February 2011 – Named to the “Top Ten Tweets” List by MetroMix St. Louis
They dubbed me “The Twoubleshooter” – and I didn’t mind a bit.
KSDK’s MetroMix list of St. Louis people to know on twitter also included Mayor Frances Slay, freelance blogger and founder of A Girl’s Guide to the Galaxy, Melody Meiners, talk show host, Dana Loesch, and The Rise to the Top founder and host, David Siteman Garland.
We all submitted our responses to a list of questions, several of them highly entertaining. My favorite to read were the “Most bizarre Tweet you’ve even seen” and “Describe yourself in 140 characters or less.” If you need a chuckle they’re good reading material.
Although I insist I AM having a “real life” when I have conversations online, the ten of us, and a slew of other St. Louis tweets, got together at the Shafly Tap Room to get to know each other in what they call “real life.”
April 2011 – Named one of the “35 Female Visionaries You Need to Know
If having a powerful vision makes one a “visionary” then I qualify.
David Siteman Garland, founder, host and visionary behind The Rise to the Top, thought I qualified when he listed me as one of his “35 Female Visionaries You Need to Know.”
I was delighted to find myself in the company of other St. Louis visionaries (and luminaries) like Maxine Clark of Build-A-Bear, Dani Apted Schlottman of the St. Louis Aces and Ria Sharon and Suzanne Tucker of My Mommy Manual.
My good friend and cohort, Dafna Michaelson of The Journey Institute, was also on the list along with nationally recognized success mavens like Pamela Slim, Ali Brown, Alexis Martin Neely and Patti Stang.
So nice to have my “vision” recognized and to be placed in the company of so many women I respect!
November 2009 – Keynote for Build Your Own Brand
with Bob Burg and Scott Ginsberg
It is always a treat to share the stage with speakers I admire. Last month I “double-dipped” on that treat when I presented “Igniting Your Light – Connecting Passion, Purpose and Presence” as the opening keynote for “Build Your Own Brand” featuring two of my heroes, Bob Burg and Scott Ginsberg.
I was, as always, blown away by the value and authentic Passion, Purpose and Presence they both brought to the stage. We closed with a panel discussion and, before I knew what they intended… READ MORE
October 2009 – Entrepreneurship for Techies
Technically, I’m not a “tech geek.” But recently I got to hang out with some of the best in St. Louis at the St. Louis Innovation Camp.
This two-day conference was designed to offer information on every stage of tech start-up and launch, from conception to budgeting, from incorporation to marketing, funding to management and they covered a whole lot of ground in between.
I was asked to present a couple of sessions on building networks both online and offline. We covered the difference between networking and marketing and delved into effective online strategies for both. We also discussed how to cultivate relationships through in person meetings and through social network sites.
On Sunday, the final day of the conference, I was asked to facilitate and participate in a panel dedicated to social media and online networking.
If you would like to talk about having me participate in a conference or speak to your organization please email me at Dixie@DixieDynamiteCoaching.com.
October 2009 – 50 in 52 Journey Features St. Louisans
What started as a twitter post to help a friend I’d never met help a person I never expected to meet turned into a face-to-face meeting and amazing friendship.
In a tribute to the power of online networking in building community, I had the opportunity to host 50 in 52 Journeywoman and founder, Dafna Michaelson to St. Louis.
The journey for us started with a tweet from Terry Bean, a master connector and founder of Motor City Connect, whom I had first “met” on Facebook through our mutual friend, Lewis Howes… READ MORE

April 2009 – Certified Go-Giver Coach Program Launched
What a thrill it was at Extreme Business Makeovers this month to hear my name announced from the stage as the inaugural Certified Go-Giver Coach!
For over a year I have been developing coaching programs and teaching from “The Go-Giver,” and I’ve seen the impact the lessons in this parable has had on my clients and audiences. The launch of this program will spread this impact throughout the world, as we have consultants becoming certified from many different countries. READ MORE
April 2009 – LIVE with The Rise to the Top
What a treat to sit down for a live interview with the creator and host of The Rise to the Top TV, David Siteman Garland. He joked that he was so in awe that I made him nervous, but really we just had a great time. We talked about networking, building connections and then I took some questions from his audience.
