Before we consider working together, let’s get to know each other. I’ll start…
I was born in a little Kansas town… Oh no, that isn’t what you want to know. You want to know who I am, not just where I’ve been, right?
Well let’s see… I’ve been called everything from an alchemist to a muse, and a few other names I won’t mention here. I’ve been a business consultant and analyst, a change agent and trainer, and a general trouble-shooter to entrepreneurs and business leaders for more years than I care to admit. But at the foundation of everything I’ve done and everything I’ve been, is what I am.
I am a coach.
And, like my clients,
I am an entrepreneur.
For me, entrepreneurship isn’t about owning a business, or even about being my own boss.
It’s about owning my career, taking control of my own success, and having choices about how I work, how I live and how I make an impact in the world.
It’s about living, and working, on my own terms.
Did you know, the word “entrepreneur” comes from a French word meaning,
“One who undertakes”?
At heart, an entrepreneur is not “one who owns a business,” but someone who has committed to an undertaking!
Are you an entrepreneur at heart?
What does that mean to you?
For most of us, it means being big dreamers, and big doers. And between the dreaming and the doing, we often encounter barriers; I call them “brick walls.”
That’s why I call my signature approach to success partnering with my clients Blast Thru Coaching(TM). I’ve authored an ebook on this method, and am currently under contract with Sound Wisdom to release a full-length book to teach you how to blast thru your brick walls in April 3013.
Some of my stories and interviews have been featured in books such as Go-Givers Sell More, by Bob Burg and John David Mann, The Referral Engine, by John Jantsch of Duct Tape Marketing fame, and more than one of the books by “The Nametag Guy,” Scott Ginsberg. I have also contributed to a group work, The Thought That Changed My Life Forever, which is now an Amazon Bestseller.
After a year of working with insights gathered during the Dynamite Dialogs project, I released a report on The Five Essential Ingredients of Success. (It includes my interview with Richard Bach, and you can request it for free here.)
I also teach the Five Laws of Stratospheric Success as outlined in The Go-Giver, by Bob Burg and John David Mann. (Read more about my work with these powerful laws over on my Go-Giver Coaching Page.)
After more than three years of coaching and speaking on the Five Laws, I created the training materials for the Certified Go-Giver Coaching program, and now serve as the Master Coach and trainer for the other Go-Giver Coaches throughout the world (If you’d like to know more about becoming a Certified Go-Giver Coach you can read more here.)
I share my home with a 14 year old tom cat who still thinks he’s a kitten, and a 95 pound black Boxer/Lab mix I call “The Dragon Dog.” Having grown up with cats, dogs, goats, chinchillas, and horses, I believe that my years of “mothering” furry cittters accounts for most, if not all, of my emotional intelligence and people sense.
So you see, I’m just like you. Building a business and designing a life. Finding the path of my passion, and blasting through the walls that stand in my way. I don’t coach because I’ve perfected the business building or the life designing, or because I have arrived at my destination and have no more barriers to challenge me.
I coach for the same reasons I have coaches in my life and business. Because we all need the outside perspective, the person who has played the game before us and can point out our winning moves and the habits that lose us points. I coach because that is what I am, that is how I achieve my purpose, that is how I impact the world.
Why do you do what you do?
How can I help?
(By the way… If you’re curious about that “dynamite thing,” you can read the story behind the brand.)
